REPORT ON SECP WORKSHOP AT ABASYN UNIVERSITY

A delegation from Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan Islamabad participated in the workshop on ‘Statutory Regulations for Corporate Sector in Pakistan’ at Abasyn University on 2nd May 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Main Hall of the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Abasyn University was the Chief Guest on the occasion. All the faculty deans and faculty members from the Management Sciences Department enthusiastically attended the workshop. A large number of business management students also attended the workshop.

Mr. Usman Hayat from SECP acted in the capacity of resource person during the workshop.

The Resource Person apprised the participants about the broad objectives of the workshop in general and about SECP Corporate Regulations in specific. He amply enlightened the participants about the stipulated procedures to be complied with during the documentation phase of corporate business establishment.

He very meticulously narrated the diversified avenues of SECP and oriented the audience on the current and prospective issues of related with business management in corporate sector in Pakistan.

The nominee of the KP Chamber of Commerce and Industry lauded the endeavors of the Management of Abasyn University being made for bringing uplift in the academic and intellectual uplift of students through education and co-curricular activities like workshops and seminars. He assured his full cooperation on behalf of KP CCI to support Abasyn University in the cause of education in Pakistan.

A vigorous question/answers session followed the workshop presentations and the SECP team responded the querries of the participants.

The Vice Chancellor, in his concluding remarks thanked the SECP team, nominees of the KP CCI and organising committee of Abasyn University for making excellent arrangements of the workshop and orienting the students about a very significant portion of business proceedings.
